What is NACSIS Webcat?
- Webcat is a system for searching the union catalog database of books and journals held by the libraries of universities and other institutions.
- This union catalog is a collabolataive database by the participated libraries of the NACSIS-CAT cataloging system provided and managed by the National Institute of Informatics.
- The participated libraries continually register their holding data of books and journals into the database.
- The database is updated weekly on Sundays.

NACSIS Webcat Features
- Accessible by anyone with a web browser.
- Simple operations.
- Allows you to search by publisher, subject, and classification, besides book title and author.
- Multilingual retrieval supports. Search words can be Japanese Kanji, Katakana, Hiragana, as well as alphabet letters (Romaji).
- 24 hours a day, 365 days a year service.
